Define the blanket-washing event
A blanket, duvet cover, sheet, throw, and blanket replacement are different records. Name the specific household item and the single event your household wants to remember.

Why the last blanket wash disappears
A blanket may be used by different people or move between rooms, and washing it may happen without a receipt, message, or note. Later, the household may remember that it happened but not which blanket or when.
A named mark preserves the particular washing event the household recorded. It does not turn a date into a universal laundry schedule or a cleanliness judgment.
Materials and care labels change the context
The FTC describes care-label information as item-specific, while Woolmark explains that wool products can carry different washing and drying symbols. Woolmark also publishes context for wool blankets that should not be generalized to every blanket material or construction.
